| A two days COE program for students of optometry, practitioners and Ophthalmologists was jointly conducted by Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai and Ratan Jyoti Netralaya, Gwalior at the hospital premises. The two days event was flagged of by Dr.C.D.Sharma, CMO, Gwalior who was the chief guest of the day and Dr. Subodh Garg, President MPSOS who was the guest of honor. The eminent faculty from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai was Mrs. Anuradha Sriram, Lecturer, Elite School of Optometry, Mrs. Anudhaoli Senior Optometrist, Contact Lens Department, Mrs. Revathy Senior Optometric, Orthoptics Department and Ms Pavithra from the Sankara Nethralaya Academy. The response to this event was overwhelming as we had 58 participants from across the country. Day 1 had lectures on symptoms to management and contact lenses. The post lunch session had a live filling of scleral lens on a patient. The evening saw all delegates shake a leg at Banquet with live orchestra. Day 2 had a detailed session on vision therapy and dispensing optics. The post lunch session had an interesting quiz followed by distribution of certificates to all participants.
On the whole the two day event was a grand success and a memorable event for each one of us.
